Dick Hardy, Co-Founder
Dick Hardy founded The Hardy Group in 2007 after nearly 30 years of service to the church. Over the years he served as an administrative pastor, church business administrator, chief operating officer, pastor of ministry development, non-profit executive director, and college vice president.
This experience afforded Dick a vast network of pastors and friends nationally and internationally, from denominational leaders to pastors leading their first church. With this network and his experience, he built The Hardy Group to serve the church primarily through one-on-one consulting.
However, as demands for his time increased, he decided to change his approach to resourcing churches. As a result, he partnered with his son, Jonathan Hardy, to develop Leaders.Church, an online ministry to equip churches and pastors.
They developed this online resource to pastors because they desire to help churches overcome barriers to growth. They believe leadership in the church is one of the biggest barriers to growth and ministry participation. After working with hundreds of churches, they’ve seen first-hand how a pastor’s leadership directly corresponds to the church’s growth.
A graduate of the University of Northern Iowa (1976), Dick became ordained in 1999. He also served for a number of years in the National Association of Church Business Administration, including two years as the national president. Dick is also a strong advocate of community involvement. He served for nine years as a public school board member in Johnston, Iowa, including one year as board president.
Dick and his wife, Pat, have been married together for 42 years and are still crazy about each other! They are the proud parents of Jonathan and Erin, and even prouder grandparents of six children.
